I just finished watching this stand up dvd by Stephen Merchant and let me just say that it was really good! Im glad that it was actually funny because it would be sad if this guy wouldnt get any wings under his own wings as he is known as the lanky side-kick of the world known british comedian Ricky Gervais. Stephen even makes a mention of this in the very beginning with "i dont have to split the pay of this tour with you know who"
I first saw this guy in the Ricky Gervais show which is the worlds most famous podcast and then turned in to a succesfull animated tv- series. My good friend Jeoff told me i should watch the show because its really funny but as always when he tells me to watch or play something i mostly end up doing it half-assed at first but after a while i end up loving what ever he told me to watch/play.
Now as i finished watching this series ( and when i say watching, i mean listening to as i mostly did something else while it was running on the background) I got really interested in these people and wanted more obviosly. So i went to the world wide web and found myself a package called "Ricky Gervais Audio Package" which had inside a total of 101 hours of podcasty goodness ! It had all of the podcasts that had been recorded which ive yet to listen and for my surprise, a radio show that these three guys did back in early 2000. I think they started around 2001 actually and all of the shows ( as far as i know ) had been recorded. I only just managed to finish "season one" of those shows and im loving it. Im going to take the time and listen to all of these shows no matter what.
Im actually a huge fan of podcasting and i think i preffer it over music when im walking somewhere or just sitting at home doing nothing. I just find that i get alot more entertainement out from a podcast than i would ever get from a song. I've listened to shows about so many different things! People reviewing recent movies, People reviewing old movies, People just casually talking about video games, People talking about a specific video game, People playing and talking about Dungeons & Dragons. People talking about random items, People doing a daily podcast show. The list just goes on and on !
